Correct..chain jumped off of the windlass, sorry wrong name, and it dumped the entire chain. The part broken was the part that keep the chain from jumping off of the windlass. So rather you are in 15' or 100' the entire chain takes off out of the locker.

The chain would also not stay in the teeth, probably the wrong terminology, of the windlass itself. It keep jumping out, once it jumped out, then the entire chain would empty back out of the locker.

Attempted to hold it in place with foot, but figured a good way to loose a foot. Cleated it off to take tension off, didn't really help. So we had to recover hand of hand and hope it didn't jump off, which it did.

S = Screwdriver
H = Hammer

Aren't those engineering terms? Cool
