Coming down in January and wondering how the fishing is doing. Mostly looking for fun and a little table fair. (can you say tuna) We're even bringing our own sushi chef. LOL
How are things lookin off the north drop near Anegada?

Thanks.....

Inshore fishing is poor right now because of the very large northern swells that are running.

Offshore is very good. The water is extremely clear. Bozo took a group out yesterday and they loaded up with tuna - and even landed a sailfish.

Great to hear. Thanks Walker!
Are there any places in the islands that will package and ship our catch if the inclination hits us?

Not that I know of. However, we have frozen fish and carried it back to the states with us in a soft-sided cooler.

Well, we've come and gone. We got some fishing in but wouldn't ya know it, the weather wasn't exactly perfect for fishing while we were down. Got out to the south drop twice. The first day had fairly rough seas. Wasn't the greatest for trolling. The second time out was much better, saw some bait and birds feeding and a couple other fishing boats but didn't really have enough time to put into it that day.
Oh well, just means we have to come back and try again.
We really wanted to fish the north drop but between the squals, swells and wind direction it was pretty nasty. We didn't even make it out to Anegada at all. I was trying to keep my crew from staging a mutiny. lol

Thanks again for all the help and advice.

We had a beautiful day to fish - but the fish did not cooperate. We had a lot of strikes, but only landed one barracuda.

All of the strikes were on ladyfish that I rigged ballyhoo-style.

Thanks Walker, we'll look you up on our next trip for sure.... and come hell or high water we'll make it out to Anegada. The next trip is already in the works. We really enjoyed the 474 Moorings powercat. It was roomy, fun and very fuel friendly and with a 25' beam we can put out one hellava trolling spread.
