Uneventful flight LAX to JFK, picked up Laurandrex’s Haley at JFK and on to STT, arrived in time for a quick lunch and first cold ones on ilon at Petite pump Room and off on he 12:30 AM ferry to West End.

Customs at WE was uneventful as there was one other couple the exited the ferry with us. Called Jerry’s and got a Tracker instead of a Jeep due to our mountain of luggage, off to Big Apple Villa, Apple Bay.

Mal was along in short order to enjoy a few cold ones with us; we were in the water within minutes of arrival!!!

The beach and view blew us away as always, great start to our trip!

We had dinner with Mal and Candace at Coco Plums, very nice, almost the only diners there.

June 24: Up early to some coffee and watch the pelicans get their breakfast just off our porch, took a trip to Kelly’s Market to stock up some items, the girls slept until Noon and awoke to ice cream for breakfast, it’s Nicole’s 15th. Birthday!!
We had a nice group join us for Nicole’ birthday, I drove up to nanny Cay to pick up Mike Kneafsey, Mal, Candace, Chris and Tracy (Tradewinds), IslandJim and a few others joined us for burgers, hotdogs, cake and FUN!!

Mal even brought over some Marmite, seriously strange stuff, does not smell or taste like it should be eaten!!

June 25 was a lazy day at the Villa, great breakfast on our patio, lazed around in water and on the beach all day. We headed to happy hour at Myetts and joined a gang of TTOL’ers for drinks and fun.

June 26 was more lazing around the villa and beach, had a gang of the usual suspects over and spent the day indulging and floating about out front.
We had a wonderful diner at Bananakeet with Reuben Chinnery playing, Mal, Candace, Linda Kay and Amy were also there enjoying the evening.

June 27 off to West end to get aboard One Love, a Voyage 440 Premiere Plus 45’ catamaran with all the bells and whistles (except chart plotter)
Got the gear and immediate crew dropped off, headed over to the ferry terminal to pick up the rest of our crew, Tammy and Brian. They seemed to be in Customs forever and finally emerged, ready to go, got back to the Voyage base and then returned the Tracker to Jerry’s, the car worked out great, no problems at all and Jerry was friendly and helpful as always.

The girls had fun shopping at West End and we managed to talk the bar into serving before 11:00 AM

The check in at Voyage charters was super easy and friendly, the refurbished office looks great. We waited until Noon and got our gear aboard, our briefer, Kimo asked for a bit of time to get a couple of sleep aboard crews off the dock, no worries at all.

Kimo knew we had chartered a 440 before but still gave us all the time wanted for questions and a briefing of anything we wanted. clarity on.
We really enjoyed Kimo as always, we did more BS’ing than briefing and had a greet time for a couple of hours. Our booze delivery from Caribbean Cellars arrived on time (complete as ordered) followed by our provisions order from bobby’s Marketplace, complete with some substitutions, no worries!

The Forward and Rear Admirals placed everything in the fridge, freezer and various cabinets while we wrapped up our fun with Kimo.
Raine helped me scrounge up a few foam noodles to bring along, nice kid for sure.

We left the dock around 3:00 PM headed to weather for Tammy and Brian’s maiden sail on an ocean going cat, Brian did great at “learning the ropes” and also steering One Love to weather on our upwind sail to The Bight, Norman Island.

We got a little closer than I expected to the dock at Prospect Reef Resort, I was talking with Brian at the helm when he finally mentioned he could see the color of the eyes on the young ladies on the beach!!!

We anchored in close, well, a little too close to Jeannius ad said our hellos then pulled a bit of chain in. I think our music may awoke Mike up from hi nap!!!

We settled in for our first night aboard and had a wonderful dinner at Pirates.

To be continued…………………

I've never eaten it, although I have used it to patch a hole in the dinghy once!
