I heard about this a couple of years ago and thought I should pass it along.
A nice way to make 'omelets' while cruising is to boil them in a plastic baggie.

Lay out chopped ingredients and let each crew member pick what they want in the omelet and put it in a strong baggie - like a quart-sized freezer baggie. Add 2-3 raw scrambled eggs, seal and shake.

Throw the baggies in a big pot of water and boil until done. Stir occasionally to keep them from sticking to the side of the pot. Cut the baggie open and put the omelet on a plate to serve. Clean-up is simple... no messy pan!
