Hello out there! We are planning another trip to BVI but this time want to spend a week in Anegada. Usually sail but the last couple of trips we enjoyed visiting islands and staying to relax and enjoy the island and the company. Had fun at Sandcastle Jost Van Dyle and Tortola last trips. I know some places shut down late summer. Is August a good month to visit? We would fly in from Newark, NJ and catch a ferry out of Tortola. So checking schedules. Just checking to see if things are opened in August. Also need suggestion for a place to stay and a car/jeep rental. If not August we would have to move it out to early November. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

We always go in August. Much quieter, you can actually find anchorages where you are the only boat. Things are winding down and some places are closing but we have never been disappointed. FYI lobster season usually ends the end of July. Places still have them but just don't expect everyone to have then late August.
