|
|
We have been down to the BVI eight times now and to Anegada five or so times. We have always had a great time at Anegada until last year. We were down in January and the wind and waves made it unsafe to snorkel and the beach was uncomfortable to sit on due to blowing sand. It was the windiest we had ever experienced. We have always fished the north drop and tried last year as well but the waves were too big for our 44 cat. We will be heading down on January 10th and I was wondering if anyone had worked out a rule of thumb as to what is the cut off point for wind and waves in order to enjoy Anegada. It would be hard for us not to go but last year I think it wasn't the best use of time under these conditions. Any input as to how much predicted swell is too much to snorkel and what would be the cut off for fishing the north drop would be appreciated. |

4-6' seas with less then 20mph winds would be an acceptable trip |
