Day 6 - June 10

Saw Galeaux and hollered over to Robin. Just a quick introduction and she said she'd see us in White Bay.

We got a lazy start and had a nice broad reach all the way from Setting Point to the north end of Guana Island. We made a few short tacks and dropped sail as we arrived at Monkey Point around 1pm. There were no balls open, but a brief 5 minute wait later and a boat left. We had lunch and then snorkeled, including getting out to walk over to the beach on the other side.

Afterward we motored to Cane Garden Bay. Lots of moorings open when we arrived around 4:30. I called Bananakeet and made a dinner reservation (they don't monitor VHF 16), then called the Moorings to get a new dinghy tank. They said they would deliver it the next morning. We cleaned up and went ashore to walk CGB and shop a little.

Our taxi driver, Del, arrived and took us up to dinner. This was probably by consensus the best meal of the trip. We missed sunset (which was no good anyway due to clouds), but arrived in time to see Long Bay laid out below us. Great dinner and great service. Even with the cost of taxi up and back it will remain on the itinerary for future trips.

After dinner we returned to the boat and turned in.
