Hi all. Glad to have found this board. Travelling to anegada soon and I'm wondering about the selection of alcohol in Anegada markets. Things like different flavored rums (coconut, banana, spiced) and also any info on the wine selection. Or, would it be better to provision in Roadtown? Thanks for any help you could provide.

Very limited in the markets. Do yourself and the local people a favor and buy your drinks from one of the many fine beach bars on Anegada. Their prices are very low, and they need your business. Very Happy

Much better to provision in Roadtown. Like Dave said - VERY little available on Anegada.

Thanks for the info gentlemen. We certainly plan to contribute to the Anegada economy...can't wait to taste the lobster and pain killers! But, can you provide some specifics on what is actually available as far as rum types etc. We plan on staying in on occasion. Again, thanks and appreciate the info.

You can get about any kind of alcohol you want on Tortola. I've been to a great liquor store next to the Moorings base.

When you get to Anegada remember that not every bar is staffed full time. Just ask and you may be permitted to get your own. I've been stuck behind the bar serving people at the ARH beach bar when the folks from Bitterend were visiting. Also at Cow Wreck they sometimes will let you "make yourself at home". Just keep tabs on what you take and settle up at the end of your day.

Your best bet is to contact Riteway or Bobby's grocery store in Roadtown and place a grocery/liquor order. The store will put your order on the next ferry and deliver it to Anegada. You just need to be at the dock for pickup when the ferry arrives.
