Here is a video that I shot with my "hat cam".

In this video, just about everything that can go wrong does.

Early on (at 0:31 in the video) I hook into a nice poon - with my drag loose on the reel. He runs hard enough to put a birdnest on my reel. Somehow, I manage to keep the fish on and untangle.

Later, when I attempt to land the fish by taking the leader in hand, I wind up with a fish that has not run out of gas and with my fly line wrapped around my rod.

I miraculously recover that, only to get the fish right to the edge of the water when my knot at the fly fails.

That was an olive over white clouser tied on a 6/0 Tiemco 600SP hook, 60# shock tippet, 20# leader, 10wt fly rod.

Walker, the verbal restraint used when the fish broke off was admirable!
